Sudasha Brata is a special fest that is observed by married women in Odisha. On this day they worship Maa Laxmi for wealth and prosperity. On the tenth day of luni-Solar and it should be Thursday then Sudasha Brata can be observed that day. Women offer 10 Manda Pithas in puja. A sacred thread (Brata) is prepared and offered to Laxmi. It consists of ten ties in it by uttering 10 names of maa Laxmi. women tie it on their right arm until the arrival next puja of Sudasha Brata, at that time they replace the thread (Brata) with a new one.
