  Holi is an Indian festival and it is celebrated with colors. This festival is known as the Color Festival. This comes yearly at the end of February or in the middle of March. In Odia, this month is known as Falguna. This time is the end of the winter season. Everyone enjoys this festival by rubbing colors on each other’s faces. Some use dry color (Abira), water guns (pichkari), and balloons filled with color to apply to others. People wish “Happy Holi” to everyone and give sweets to make the bond sweet. In this day people give color to the feet of elders to get their blessings. 

         In Odisha, this is the day of lord Krishna and Radha. This day is called Dola Purnima. The icon of love Radha and Krishna worshiped on this day. First people give colors and worship Radha and Krishna; after that, they play with others with colors. In Dola Purnima, people place the icon of lords Radha and Krishna in palanquins and visit area to area. Like this people in Odisha celebrate the Holi festival. People offer raw mangoes to the lord to worship him.
