Kumar Purnima is a festival which is observed in Odisha. This is the full moon day in Ashwin month according to hindu calendar. This day is celebrated by all unmarried girls. First they offer Surya puja(God Sun) in early morning. And in evening they used to offer chandra puja( God Moon). They do this puja and desire for a handsome and good life partner for themselves. This day Gaja laxmi puja also celebrated. People do pandal and melody drama for entertainment. People worship Maa Laxmi for wealth. In Puri it is celebrated very nicely. Dice play used to held in temple between Lord Jagannath team and Maa Laxmi team. This day all unmarried girls dreamt about their future and wish for best.
