Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Yatra reaches Jharsuguda in Odisha
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is on a nationwide campaign to highlight the issues of farmers, workers, and the poor, visited Jharsuguda district in Odisha on Monday. He interacted with the people and listened to their grievances and demands. He also slammed the BJP-led central and state governments for their policies and performance.
Rahul Gandhi began his journey from the old bus stand of Jharsuguda and walked for about two kilometers, waving at the crowds and shaking hands with some of them. He was accompanied by a host of senior Congress leaders from the state and the center, who also addressed the public on various issues. Rahul Gandhi spoke about the problems faced by the farmers, workers, and the youth in the country and promised to provide them with justice and dignity. He also criticized the Modi government for its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic crisis, the border tensions, and the farmers’ protests. He accused the BJP of being anti-people, anti-democracy, and anti-constitution.
After reaching Gobindpur block via the National Highway 49, Rahul Gandhi took a rest there and then left for Delhi. He had arrived in Odisha on Saturday and had visited several places in the state, including Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Sundargarh. He had also addressed a public meeting in Belapahad on Monday morning, where he attacked the Naveen Patnaik government for its failure to provide adequate health care, education, and employment to the people of Odisha. He said that the Congress would work for the development and welfare of the state and its people.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Yatra is a campaign to reach out to the masses and mobilize them for the upcoming elections. He has been visiting different states and regions of the country and highlighting the issues and challenges faced by the common people. He has also been exposing the failures and misdeeds of the BJP governments at the center and the states. He has been projecting the Congress as the only alternative and the voice of the people.
